Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Table Perch (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating at tableperch.com, collects and uses information when you visit the site. By using the site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in the message. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system and screen size.
  • Pages visited, time spent, links clicked and the site you came from.
  • Approximate location based on IP address (country or region, not street address).
  • Cookies and similar identifiers, described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not collect payment details. Purchases made through affiliate links happen on the retailer’s site under the retailer’s privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To run the site and keep it secure.
  • To understand which guides are useful and which need work.
  • To reply to your messages.
  • To measure affiliate referrals so we are paid correctly.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run a newsletter and we do not send marketing email.

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read them. Google provides an opt-out browser add-on for Analytics.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics and affiliate tracking, plus a small number of functional cookies that keep the site working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Cookie Policy lists what we use and how to manage it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California have specific rights under GDPR, UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, email legal@tableperch.com. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

California residents

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is no opt-out to perform. You still have the right to know, delete and correct, and we will not discriminate against you for using those rights.

Data retention and security

Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics provider. We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable hosting to protect data, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
